THE D3, REIMAGINED IN SILVER.
The Osiris D3 was one of the shoes that defined skating in the early 2000s, and one of the most argued over too, a big chunky skate shoe people either loved or ripped into. I've always liked my chunky shoes, and this was one I actually skated in, so I wanted to capture it properly.
Skate culture gets pulled apart by brands who use it as a look without ever having skated, so I went for the bits they'd leave out, the parts they wouldn't think to put into jewellery or would reckon don't look right. That's why there's tape wrapped around the front, the store-bought tape we used to wrap round our shoes as kids to hold them together. That's what it's actually about. It's a hollow shoe too, which was a nightmare to get right in the casting.
