Sustainability at JacquesCDs
Built slow, made to last, always with purpose
Recycled metals, always
We work with recycled metals only. Not just silver, but other materials too as the collection expands. We reuse what's already here and turn it into something meaningful. It’s not about shine, it’s about intention.
Local and in-house
Almost everything is done in-house, from concept to finishing. Wax work, 3D printing, shaping, polishing, and packaging. The only step that leaves the studio is casting, which is done just up the road in Chichester. We keep it close so nothing gets lost in the process.
No plating, no mined stones
We don’t plate metals. It wears off quickly and involves toxic processes that harm both people and the planet. Instead, we focus on solid recycled metals and finishes that last. When we use stones, they’re lab grown — no mining, no exploitation, no plastic imitations.
Emotional sustainability
We believe jewellery should carry a story. That’s why every piece we make is rooted in narrative. If something holds meaning, it’s not disposable. Storytelling gives our designs emotional longevity. That’s what makes them worth keeping.
The take-back scheme
Every JacquesCDs piece is made to last — but if you ever want to return it, recycle it, or transform it into something new, we’ve got you. Our take-back scheme means we’ll reuse what you send in and give it a second life. No waste, just new chapters.
Slow by choice
We work at our own pace. Small batches, long development, proper time spent on each piece. No seasonal pressure, no fake urgency. Just quality over quantity — always.
We’re not claiming to be perfect. But we’re doing the work — slowly, consciously, and always with purpose.
